A method of protecting skin of a user comprising: supplying a pad in a flat configuration; bending a flat section around a crotch of the user; folding a 3D section of the pad to project from said flat section of the pad and placing the flat section of the pad onto skin of the user with said 3D section projecting between two moving portions of a body of the user, wherein the folding forms the 3D section into a triangular fin, wherein said folding is along three non-parallel folding lines and wherein said folding results from said bending.
